We provide hands-on business training for women who lack access to capital, mentorship, or formal education. Our workshops cover financial literacy, marketing, business planning, and leadership skills.
Goal: 100+ women trained annually.
Through the Women Economic Basket Event & Empowerment Center, we create fair-wage employment opportunities for local women. Our cultural restaurant and event hall are designed to be spaces where women build careers, not just earn paychecks.
Goal: 25 direct jobs created.
We remove one of the biggest barriers to women's economic participation: childcare. Our safe, nurturing space provides after-school tutoring for children while their mothers work or attend training. Every child receives academic support and a caring environment.
Goal: 100 children tutored annually.
No girl should have to choose between school and survival. We provide scholarships that cover tuition, school supplies, uniforms, and mentorship. Our focus is on the most disadvantaged young women, orphans, and girls with disabilities.
Goal: 15 scholarships awarded annually.
We have already placed underserved girls into schools in Africa through this program.
Imagine a marketplace where women-owned shops sell traditional clothing, crafts, and locally made products. Our retail incubator provides affordable space, business mentorship, and customer access to help women launch and grow their own businesses.
Goal: 20 new women-owned businesses launched annually.
We serve all people without regard to nationality, color, tribal affiliation, gender, disability, race, or religious belief. Every program is designed to be culturally responsive and welcoming to immigrant, refugee, and underserved communities.
We work in East Africa, where our scholarship program places underserved girls into schools, and in Omaha, Nebraska — where FEOI is headquartered and where we are building the Women Economic Basket Event & Empowerment Center to serve local immigrant and underserved communities.
We partner with women and children from immigrant, refugee, and low-income communities in Nebraska and East Africa. Every person is welcome here. We serve all without regard to nationality, color, tribal affiliation, gender, disability, race, or religious belief.
We fund our programs through grants, private donations, community partnerships, and revenue generated by our social enterprise — including our event hall, cultural restaurant, and retail incubator spaces. This sustainable model allows us to reinvest in the women and children we serve.
IF Women gain education, skills, and economic opportunity, then they will break the cycle of poverty for themselves and their children.
This is because barriers like no capital, no training, and no childcare trap women in poverty.
Our solution removes each of these barriers through training, jobs, childcare, scholarships, and retail spaces for business.
We serve women and children from immigrant, refugee, and low-income communities in Nebraska and East Africa. All programs are open without regard to nationality, color, tribal affiliation, gender, disability, race, or religious belief.
